Mia's Sandwich Shop Project
This project is based on an old ICT resource developed by the Department for Education and Skills in 2005. Originally designed as an introduction to databases, I've repurposed it to a Business Context project to help students understand the process of technical change.
Mia has been using a paper-based system which has lots of problems. Students investigate these through a role play activity and then use their findings to design a new digital system for Mia's business. They also need to give a presentation to 'Mia' to explain how they will help her and her staff transition from the old to the new system.
*Mia's Sandwich Shop is a fictional business using actors and made-up data
